In Memoriam
Scott Youngblood
February 26, 1979 – September 12, 2018
Melbourne, Florida Melbourne High School '97
Scott Youngblood was one of those people who made Melbourne feel like home. A proud Bulldog who came up through Central Jr. High and Melbourne High, Scott was a devoted father, a die-hard Miami Hurricanes and Dolphins fan, and a fixture in the Brevard community. He passed away at 39, leaving behind a legacy carried on by his children and by everyone who was lucky enough to know him.
Mark Maas was the kind of man who left a mark on every single person he crossed paths with. A crazy hard worker, a great husband, a great father, and a great friend who never did anything halfway. A die-hard New York Jets fan with a heart bigger than he ever let on and a sense of humor that could catch you off guard at any moment. He was loved by so many, and his memory lives on in every life he touched.
Rachel Anne Bender was a smart, beautiful woman with a heart that never stopped giving. Born in Niagara Falls, New York, she moved to Florida in 1991 and graduated from Melbourne High School in 1997. Her greatest joy was her son, Blake Bender. That bubbly smile could light up a hallway, and those who walked those halls with her carry her with them always.
