Remembered For
Family, Community, Loyalty

Scott Youngblood was one of those people who made Melbourne feel like home. Born on February 26, 1979, Scott grew up in the heart of Brevard County and never strayed far from the community that shaped him. He passed away on September 12, 2018, at just 39 years old, leaving behind a void felt by everyone who knew him.

IA Proud Bulldog

Scott came up through Central Jr. High School and Melbourne High School, where he built friendships that lasted a lifetime. He was a proud Bulldog through and through. The bonds he forged in those hallways and on those fields carried him well beyond graduation day — the kind of friendships that don’t fade, even when life gets complicated.

IIFamily Was Everything

Scott was a devoted father to Devon, Hannah, Anthony, and Cameron, and his kids were his world. Anyone who spent time around him knew that without being told. His youngest daughter, Sofia, was born after his passing — a beautiful reminder that his legacy lives on. Family wasn’t just important to Scott — it was everything.

He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Youngblood. He is survived by his mother, Caren Diard; his stepfather, Dave Diard; his sisters, Amy Youngblood, Jessica Cannon, and Melissa Youngblood; his grandmother, Doris Youngblood; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles who all carry a piece of him with them.

IIISundays Were Sacred
Scott Youngblood

If you knew Scott, you knew two things: he loved his family, and he loved football. He was a die-hard Miami Hurricanes and Miami Dolphins fan through and through — the kind who never wavered no matter the season. And when it came to fantasy football, Scott brought that same loyalty and competitive fire every single week. Sundays were sacred.

“Scott was the kind of person who didn’t need a spotlight. He showed up, he cared, and people remembered him for it.”

IVA Lasting Presence

Scott’s presence in the Melbourne community was real and lasting. He wasn’t the type who needed a spotlight. He showed up, he cared, and people remembered him for it. In a world that moves fast, Scott was the kind of person who made you slow down and feel like you mattered.

He is deeply missed by many across Brevard County, and his memory lives on — not just in the hearts of his children and family, but in the community that was lucky enough to know him.
